Welded Pipe is formed by rolling plate and welding the seam. The weld flash is removed from the outside surface, smoothed and made uniform. Welded Pipe typically has a more consistent wall thickness compared to seamless pipe, and is generally acquired at a lower price point.
Formed by extrusion, seamless pipe is fabricated without a welded seam. This increases the pipe’s ability to withstand pressure, with consistent strength throughout the entire circumference of the pipe.
