Plug

A plug is a fitting designed to terminate an opening in a piping system. Plugs are typically threaded, and screw into a port for temporary closure. They are also available for permanently welding into a socket.

Plugs can be either standard 150# and SP-114 castings, or forged pressure fittings up to 3000#. Plugs can have round, square or hexagonal heads, or with a countersunk head.
